James Gunn Starts Production on Season 2 of Peacemaker

More than two years after the first season aired, James Gunn has finally started filming the second season of the DC series "Peacemaker".

On Saturday, DC Studios co-chairman and co-CEO James Gunn posted a selfie on Instagram, showing himself reflected in the Peacemaker's iconic helmet. Gunn simply titled the photo "Day 1 S2 ‍♂️," and the mermaid emoji is a nod to fans of the show, as in Season 1, Vigilante (Freddie Stroma) revealed it was his favorite emoji, saying it meant "happy, sad, and everything in between."

Gunn created and directed the first season of the Max superhero series, which stars John Cena as the violent but sensitive Peacemaker, and also stars Danielle Brooks, Chukwudi Iwuji, Jennifer Holland, Steve Agee and Robert Patrick as the Peacemaker's father, White Dragon.
