Henry Cavill on how he was chosen to play Geralt in The Witcher: I just kept pushing

Henry Cavill, who became famous for "Superman: Man of Steel", has now become "White Wolf" Geralt in Netflix's new series "The Witcher". Of course, Netflix did not choose Henry Cavill all at once. He was also selected from more than 200 candidates through layers of screening. At the SDCC Comic Exhibition at the beginning of the month, Henry Cavill announced the general process of how he took on this role.

At the SDCC 2019 Comic-Con earlier this month, "Superman" Henry Cavill announced the general process of taking on the role of Geralt when he was a guest on the "Tonight Entertainment" show. Henry Cavill said: " When I heard that they were going to shoot a TV series called "The Witcher", I was super excited. I called my agent at the time, and then I asked every day, 'Guys, can we meet now?' The next day I asked again, 'Is it okay now?' Finally, they (the agent) finally said, 'We called the producer, but they said the TV series has not reached that stage (casting) yet', so I kept urging, urging, and finally I think Netflix may have been annoyed by me. "

"Later, I sat down with the producer, Lauren S. Hissrich, and we had a great conversation about the new show. As the conversation went on, my passion for the new show also increased. Then she confessed to me, Lauren said, ' We haven't started casting yet, but it's great to meet you, but the new show still has a long way to go, and I should go write the script. '"

"Then, there was a four-month gap or something like that, and I really wanted them to finalize the role and everything else, and the most important thing was to cast the right actor, and they couldn't just cast whoever auditioned first. I was so glad that I got the role of Geralt after the audition, and it was so interesting. At that time, my whole nerves were tense, and I really, really, really (I said it three times) wanted this role . But in the end, I got it, and now I am Geralt."

Netflix's "The Witcher" TV series will be launched in the fourth quarter of 2019, with a total of 8 episodes in the first season.
