The domestic science fiction film "Shanghai Fortress", starring Shu Qi and Lu Han and adapted from the novel of the same name by Jiang Nan, released a trailer today (July 4) called "Departure Special", claiming that the entire film has nearly 1,600 special effects shots.

Plot summary:

In the future, alien dark forces suddenly attack the earth, and Shanghai becomes the last hope of mankind. College student Jiang Yang (played by Lu Han) follows female commander Lin Lan (played by Shu Qi) into the Shanghai Fortress and becomes a commander. Alien forces continue to launch fierce attacks. Lin Lan is ordered to protect the secret weapon to repel the aliens. Jiang Yang and several friends are in the Gray Eagle Squad to fight against the alien invaders. The last battle to defend mankind finally starts in Shanghai.

"Shanghai Fortress" will be officially released on August 9, 2019.
