HTC and Bandai cooperate to develop Japanese VR animation to adapt well-known IP

HTC's VR platform VIVEPORT has established a strategic alliance with Japan's Bandai Namco Pictures. The two parties will work together to bring Bandai Namco's famous animation content into the new field of VR virtual reality.

Bandai Namco Pictures is known for producing original anime series with strong sales potential, such as the Aikatsu! series, the Battle Spirits series, and the Tiger & Bunny series. Bandai Namco Pictures has also adapted popular manga works such as Gintama and Gunsou Keroro into super popular anime.

The HTC VIVEPORT team will work closely with Bandai Namco Pictures to build and develop a VR ecosystem and provide consumers with a wide range of virtual experiences. In the future, both passionate fans of Bandai Namco Pictures and anime enthusiasts will be able to enjoy new immersive Bandai Namco animation content through VIVEPORT and interact virtually with anime idols.

The development of virtual reality is changing people's behavior in various fields, from design, marketing, education, training, social interaction to entertainment. VIVEPORT has always been a key development platform for HTC as a global VR pioneer, providing a comprehensive content subscription service for various VR experiences.

The partnership between HTC and Bandai Namco Pictures will enable HTC to expand its IP product portfolio, while for Bandai Namco Pictures, this partnership will also help Bandai Namco further expand its global presence and provide global users with different content experience methods.

The initial phase of the partnership between HTC and Bandai Namco Pictures will see the two companies develop joint animation content, production and distribution, and will see them continue to collaborate on new animation and IP development and jointly explore new business opportunities.
