HBO Max's Green Lantern Corps live-action series "Green Lantern" announced its first starring role: Finn Wittrock ("La La Land", "American Horror Story", "Judy") will play Guy Gardner, one of the Green Lanterns.

The series is run by Seth Grahame-Smith (Lego Batman), who also wrote the first episode with Marc Guggenheim (Arrow). It is a drama series with 10 episodes, each one hour long. It is said that the story will extend for decades to multiple galaxies, and there will be many Green Lanterns. The protagonists are Guy Gardner, Jessica Cruz, Simon Baz, Alan Scott, etc. There will also be alien Green Lanterns such as Kirowog, and old friend Sinestro. The most well-known Hal Jordan, John Stewart and Kyle Rayner will not be in the show.

Greg Berlanti, who is at the helm of CW's DC Universe, serves as the show's producer. He previously revealed that the show will be "the largest DC series we've ever created, and it will go into the universe," and it is said to be the most expensive show he has ever created.
