The total box office of the May Day holiday has exceeded 200 million: Zhang Yimou's new film ranks only third

Maoyan data shows that as of 11:32 a.m. on May 1, the box office on the first day of the 2021 May Day holiday has exceeded 200 million.

Specifically for movies, "Your Wedding" had a total box office of 65.14 million yuan, "Secret Visitor" had a total box office of 39.96 million yuan, and "Under the Cliff" had a total box office of 32.69 million yuan.

It is reported that "Your Wedding" is starring Xu Guanghan and Zhang Ruonan and directed by Han Tian. It tells a sweet and abusive love story of reckless pursuit, missed and reunion.

However, Zhang Yimou's action thriller "Under the Cliff" did not seem to perform up to fans' expectations.

As for Douban ratings, Under the Cliff scored 7.7 points before writing (opened at 7.8 points), while Your Wedding and The Secret Visitor have not yet been rated. If you care about word of mouth, you might as well wait before buying tickets.
