The Metal Gear Solid movie wants to give audiences a new experience based on silent stealth

At the end of 2020, Sony Pictures officially announced that Oscar Isaac will star in the film adaptation of "Metal Gear Solid" as Uncle Snake. Sony has been planning this film for many years, and director Jordan Vogt-Roberts has been working on the film since at least 2017 and has led the project for several years.

Recently, director Jordan Vogt-Roberts said in an interview with foreign media Entertainment Weekly that he was very interested in finding a way to transform the "active experience of playing games" into the "passive experience of watching movies", and wanted to bring the audience a new experience based on silent stealth.

Jordan Vogt-Roberts said: "I wanted to create a new action genre on the big screen, a new experience based on silent stealth, letting the audience know that every step they take into the belly of the beast is less safe."

Jordan Vogt-Roberts also spoke about his attachment to the film over the years, reaffirming his passion for Metal Gear Solid. He said: "Metal Gear Solid is the never-ending and futile task that I've been trying to complete for over seven years. The original game and the world that Kojima-san created means everything to me about the film, and it's something I'm very proud of what we did. I think it's very Kojima, punk rock, and twisty."

Currently, the Metal Gear Solid movie has not yet announced a release date.
