"Fast and Furious 9" officially starts filming, Dom and his girlfriend return

"Fast & Furious 9" officially started filming yesterday. The series' leading actor Vin Diesel shared a video shot on the set on his personal Instagram, in which he and the female lead Michelle Rodriguez thanked the fans for their support over the years.

Vin Diesel said: "We just finished our first day of shooting and it feels like a miracle - a miracle that didn't come easily but we are so grateful."

In addition, Nathalie Emmanuel, who first joined the cast in Fast & Furious 7 in 2015, also celebrated the start of filming on her personal Twitter, using emojis to hint at which characters will return. In addition to Vin Diesel's Dom and Michelle Rodriguez's Letty, the remaining four characters may be Roman Pearce played by Tyrese Gibson, Mia played by Jordana Brewster, Tej Parker played by Ludacris, and hacker Ramsey played by Emmanuel.

"Fast & Furious 9" is directed by Justin Lin, who has directed four "Fast & Furious" movies. The film has not yet been officially named and will be released on May 22, 2020.
