The old Spider-Man trilogy director wants to direct Avengers 6

The rumor that Sam Raimi, the director of the old Spider-Man trilogy, would direct Avengers: Secret War first emerged last year, and was first reported by Twitter user @MyTimeToShineH. Recently, Raimi responded to this in an interview at WonderCon.

Although Raimi expressed his willingness to continue working with Marvel and expressed his love for many superheroes in the Marvel Comics universe, he has not confirmed directing "Avengers 6". He said that he has not received a formal invitation from Marvel yet, but hopes that the two sides can maintain a good cooperative relationship.

It is worth noting that Marvel has not yet announced the director of "Avengers 6", but "Loki" series screenwriter Michael Waldron is writing the scripts for both "Avengers 6" and "Avengers 5".

Raimi also responded to another rumor earlier this week about whether he would work with Tobey Maguire on another Spider-Man movie. Similarly, while there are no plans for Spider-Man 4 in development at the moment, Raimi is open to working together again, provided Marvel is interested.

All in all, it remains to be seen whether Raimi will direct these two highly anticipated Marvel movies in the future, and the decision lies in Marvel's hands.
