"Halo" TV series cast announced, "American Gods" Madman Sweeney plays Master Chief

Showtime TV network announced today some of the cast members for the TV series "Halo". The famous "Master Chief" will be played by Pablo Schreiber, who previously left a deep impression on the audience by playing "Mad Sweeney" in "American Gods". Newcomer actor Yerin Ha will play a 16-year-old girl from an outer space colony.

According to Showtime, Pablo Schreiber will play the Master Chief, the most advanced warrior on Earth in the 26th century, and the only hope to save Earth's civilization is to put it on the brink of destruction by the "Covenant". Newcomer Yerin Ha will play a new character in the play: Quan Ah, a 16-year-old girl from an outer space colony who meets the Master Chief by fate.

The "Halo" TV series will be produced in collaboration between Showtime, 343 Studios and Spielberg's Amblin Television Studio. The first season will consist of 10 episodes and will begin filming in Budapest, Hungary this fall.
