Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will still use James Gunn's script despite being fired

James Gunn, the director of the first two "Guardians of the Galaxy" films, was fired by Disney and Marvel for inappropriate remarks. Although the actors signed a joint petition, it did not change Disney's determination.

In a recent interview with MTV News, Pratt revealed that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has already started filming and will use James Gunn's script. He also expressed his discomfort with the change of director for the third movie.

"I love James. I have every intention of making this movie work and we're going to live up to the expectations of the fans. I think the very nature of Guardians of the Galaxy is to bring people together and do things well. That's what we're going to do."

James Gunn's past was exposed, and he once joked about pedophilia and rape, which led to his resolute dismissal by Disney. Later, the filming plan of "Guardians of the Galaxy 3" was shelved indefinitely. Afterwards, Dave Bautista, who plays "Drax the Destroyer", said that he would stop acting if the crew dared to change the screenwriter. Later, there were rumors that "Guardians of the Galaxy 3" would retain James Gunn's script.

James Gunn is not worried about not having movies to shoot. He was fired by Marvel and then accepted by DC. He will be the screenwriter for the next "Suicide Squad" movie and may even be the director. Dave Bautista expressed interest in participating in the next "Suicide Squad".
