The 46th Angoulême International Comics Festival, the largest comics festival in Europe, announced the winner of the best award "le Grand Prix" on January 24. The famous Japanese cartoonist Rumiko Takahashi won the award. She is the second Japanese cartoonist to win this award after Katsuhiro Otomo in 2015!

Rumiko Takahashi is a famous Japanese female cartoonist. Her representative works include "Urusei Yatsura", "The Moment of Gathering", "Ranma 1/2", "Inuyasha", "Reincarnation of the Realm", etc. She was born in Niigata Prefecture, Japan.
