Tsui Hark's "The Return of the Condor Heroes Trilogy" is openly recruiting actors, Yang Guo and Xiao Longnu are among the auditions

The martial arts film "The Return of the Condor Heroes Trilogy" directed by Tsui Hark released a recruitment notice today, marking the official start of the film's preparations and production.

The notice stated that the filming period is from June 2019 to February 2020, and the pre-production work of the trilogy will be completed in 8 months .

The main actors recruited this time are Yang Guo and Xiaolongnu. It seems that director Tsui Hark wants to use newcomers to interpret these two classic roles. The actors' age range is required to be between 18 and 25 years old. The leading actors this time may be new faces that are relatively unfamiliar to everyone.

Tsui Hark once said: "The Return of the Condor Heroes was the first martial arts novel I read. It had a profound impact on me and opened up my interest in the world of martial arts and my fascination with this world. In 1977, Mr. James Wong introduced me to Mr. Jin Yong and mentioned some plans to film Mr. Jin Yong's works. At that time, they wanted me to shoot The Snow Mountain Flying Fox. I also suggested that it would be better to shoot The Return of the Condor Heroes, because the technology and market conditions were not so good at that time. The project was never started. By 1980, the market space was larger. In order to shoot The Return of the Condor Heroes, I used the movie Swordsman as a warm-up. After completing Swordsman, the copyright of The Condor Heroes has been in the hands of different people. Because we could not reach a cooperation agreement, we have been waiting for so many years."
