Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie to start filming in March 2021

The production studio behind Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is called "Red Energy Films", with a budget of more than 20 million US dollars. The filming project will be carried out from March 15 to May 10, 2021.

Sonic the Hedgehog director Jeff Fowler and screenwriters Josh Miller and Patrick Casey have confirmed their return, but the cast has not yet been announced. Sonic the Hedgehog was released in North America on February 14 this year and in China on July 31. With a production cost of $85 million, it not only topped the North American box office charts, but also broke the North American box office record for game-adapted movies with a total box office of $146 million.
