■ Story

After tens of thousands of years, a reptilian race suddenly revived and began attacking humanity, calling themselves the "Dinosaur Empire." The story takes place five years later. Confident that the Dinosaur Empire will soon be resurrected, Hayato Kami is developing a new Getter Robo. At the same time, young pilots Sho Tachibana and Ken Daido are brought together to reorganize the Neo Getter Robo pilots. However, the Neo Getter cannot unleash its power unless three pilots are present. For this reason, Hayato approaches Go Ichimonji, who makes his living from gambling on wrestling for an underground organization...

■ Evaluation and recommendation

"Shin Getter Robo vs Neo Getter Robo - Shin Getter Robo Tai Neo Getter Robo -" is a very interesting work as a new development in the Getter Robo series. In particular, the contrast between Neo Getter Robo and Shin Getter Robo provides a fresh surprise for fans of the series. In addition, the story is also very fascinating, depicting the battle with the Dinosaur Empire and the growth and conflict of the characters.
The greatest appeal of this work is the individuality and growth of the characters. The three new pilots, Go Ichimonji, Sho Tachibana, and Ken Odou, each have different backgrounds and personalities, and their growth and teamwork add excitement to the story. In addition, members of the old Getter Team, such as Ryuma Nagare, Hayato Jin, and Musashi Tomoe, make a reappearance, and the conflicts between their past and present are depicted, adding depth to the story.
The mecha designs are also not to be missed. The designs of Neo Getter Robo and Shin Getter Robo are the product of the talents of Ken Ishikawa and Fujio Suzuki, and are visually impactful, with their power and speed being fully displayed in the battle scenes. The designs of the Mechasaurus series are also unique, visually expressing the threat of the dinosaur empire.
The music also adds to the appeal of this work. The opening theme "STORM" and the ending theme "RISING" by JAM Project featuring Mizuki Ichiro and Kageyama Hironobu are songs that symbolize the passion of the Getter Robo series, and Endo Masaaki's "yeah!yeah!yeah!" also matches the atmosphere of the work.
Overall, "Shin Getter Robo vs Neo Getter Robo - Shin Getter Robo Tai Neo Getter Robo -" is highly recommended for fans of the Getter Robo series as well as anyone who likes robot anime or action anime. The new characters and mechas, along with the deep storyline, will draw you in.
