"Avatar 2" enters the top ten single-film box office in film history and exceeds 1.5 billion US dollars worldwide

According to foreign media reports, "Avatar 2: The Way of Water" has officially entered the top ten of the single-film box office list in film history. The film's global box office exceeded 1.5165 billion US dollars on January 4, surpassing "Fast and Furious 7" (global total box office of 1.5153 billion US dollars) to become the tenth.

On January 5, "Avatar 2" surpassed "Avengers 1" (1.5188 billion) and rose to ninth place. However, the specific box office figures have not yet been released. But because the gap between "Avengers 1" and "Fast and Furious 7" is not big, "Avatar 2" has confirmed to have risen to ninth place.

Cameron also became the first director in history to have three films that grossed over $1.5 billion worldwide. His other two works, Avatar, topped the global box office charts with $2.923 billion, and Titanic, ranked third with $2.2 billion.
