The actor of Commissioner Gordon in The New Batman: I haven't read the script of the sequel yet

In an interview with Entertainment Times, Jeffrey Wright, who plays James Gordon in the movie "The Batman", said that he could not reveal the plot of the sequel because he had not even read the script from screenwriter and director Matt Reeves.

He told the interviewer that he had seen "as much of the script as I had seen." The sequel will continue to star Robert Pattinson as the protagonist Batman. Wright was equally concerned about the development of his own character.

“Obviously, I’m still Lt. Gordon at the end of the first movie, so I think my rank is going to go up, but I haven’t seen anything yet,” he said. “I’m very patient and I’m going to let Matt Reeves do what he does best — it’s going to be magical and beautiful — and I’m looking forward to the time when I can get back into it.”

The sequel to "The New Batman" was confirmed shortly after the first film was released in 2022. James Gunn, the new head of DC Films, revealed in January 2022 that the film will continue to be produced after he took office, and will be planned as a "DC Different World" work and will be released on October 3, 2025. This means that it is not in the same DC movie universe as "Superman: Legacy" which will be released in 2025.
