It looks like Universal Pictures is working on a new Jurassic World movie, with David Koepp writing the screenplay. The Hollywood Reporter states that the film could be released in 2025. Universal Pictures confirmed to IGN that Steven Spielberg will serve as executive producer through Amblin Entertainment and David Koepp will serve as screenwriter. Koepp is familiar with the series, having co-written the screenplay for the first Jurassic Park film, which was released in 1993, and wrote the screenplay for the sequel, Jurassic Park: The Lost World. Universal Pictures also confirmed to IGN that Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley will also serve as producers. The Hollywood Reporter also said that the new film will usher in a "new Jurassic era". The original "Jurassic Park" trilogy was released between 1993 and 2001, and then fell silent for 14 years. In 2015, "Jurassic World" starring Chris Pratt was released, which once again set off a dinosaur craze. Two sequels were subsequently released: "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" (2018) and "Jurassic World 3: Dominion" (2022). This new movie will be a fresh start, breaking away from the previous storyline and telling a brand new Jurassic story. |
