"MONSTERS", a short story by Eiichiro Oda that was published in the Autumn Special issue of "Weekly Shonen Jump" in October 1994, was announced to be adapted into an animation this year. It is reported that the animation will be directed by Park Seong-hou, the supervisor of the first season of "Jujutsu Kaisen", with Takashi Kojima of "The Tale of the Heike" as the character designer, and E&H production responsible for the animation production. The official recently confirmed that the adapted animation "MONSTERS: Hiryuu Shiki" will premiere on Netflix in January 2024, and released the main visual image, as well as the character portraits of the protagonist Ryoma, Freya, Celaeno and many other characters. The story of "MONSTERS: Hiryuu Shiki" takes place in the same world view as "One Piece". It tells the story of Ryoma's encounter with Freya, a young waitress in a restaurant in a town when he was young, and her savior Cyrano, and Cyrano's partner Diaru, and learned from the restaurant owner about the "big attack" that happened in the town seven years ago. When Diaru called for Hiryuu to cause a commotion, Cyrano decided to deal with Hiryuu himself, and Ryoma and Freya discovered that these two were the masterminds behind the "big attack". |
