US medical examiner reveals cause of death of 'Friends' star Matthew Perry

Not long ago, Matthew Perry, who played Chandler in the American TV series "Friends", drowned in the bathtub of his home in Los Angeles at the age of 54. Recently, the American medical examiner announced the cause of death of "Friends" actor Matthew Perry.

The medical examiner said Matthew Perry died from the "acute effects of ketamine." The autopsy also cited drowning, coronary artery disease and the effects of buprenorphine as contributing factors.

Matthew Perry, who was beloved for his wisecracking role as Chandler on "Friends," died nearly 20 years after the show ended. "Friends" was one of the most successful TV series of all time, and Matthew Perry gained widespread fame and struggled with alcoholism and drug abuse for decades.
