Trailer description: "A fascinating side story that takes you deep into the continent. The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep will be released on Netflix in the second half of 2024."

Netflix revealed that Doug Cockle, who voiced Geralt in The Witcher game, will play the role again in the film, instead of the new live-action protagonist "Thunder Brother" Liam Hemsworth.

Official plot synopsis:

"Mutant monster hunter Geralt of Rivia is hired to investigate a series of attacks in a seaside village and finds himself drawn into a centuries-old conflict between humans and merpeople. He must rely on friends old and new to solve the mystery before the hostilities between the two kingdoms escalate into all-out war."

Small Sacrifices takes place in the year 1244 in the Witcher universe, shortly after Geralt and Yennefer first meet in Netflix's The Witcher Season 1, Episode 5, but more than 20 years before the main saga begins in Season 2.

Heartbroken by his first breakup with Yennefer, Geralt travels the land with Darion before they run into rival bard Essi. The trio then mediate a lovers' quarrel between a prince and a mermaid, which looks set to get even more intense in the Netflix adaptation.
