While Elizabeth Olsen is extremely proud of her role as Scarlet Witch in the MCU, she's become a little tired of being known only as that character and is looking to balance her role out by taking on other challenging roles. In an interview with The Times, Olsen spoke candidly about how it's been since she joined the MCU in 2014 through Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is obviously one of the most popular universes in pop culture, and many people in the world only associate Olsen with Wanda. This is not ideal for her, and she wants to play other characters who can rival Scarlet Witch. Olsen said: "I'm figuring it out... because, especially for the last four years, my work has been all Marvel. I'm not saying I don't want to be associated with this character. But I really feel like I need to recreate other characters to keep the balance. I really want to do movies right now. I hope some of them will come together like I think they will. But, this is what I need. I just need more, other characters in my life. One character can't last long." It is worth mentioning that Elizabeth Olsen has also starred in other historical programs, including "Love & Death" (series), "My Condolences" (series), "Wind River" (movie), "I Saw the Light" (movie), "Godzilla" (2014), "Good Girls", etc. |
