Netizens discuss whether the new Dragon Ball animated film should be CG-ized, with different opinions

The classic anime "Dragon Ball" is still very popular today, and a new animated film is released every once in a while. Recently, Japanese media reported on netizens' discussion about whether the new "Dragon Ball" animated film should be CG-ed. As expected, there were different opinions.

·The new Dragon Ball animated film "Dragon Ball Super Broly" released in 2018 used CG to produce the battle scenes for the first time. Influenced by this, "Dragon Ball Super Super Heroes" released in 2022 used full 3DCG production, and the response was also very enthusiastic.

However, opponents said that the full CG style is very different from the original style, and that the 2D version has more room for imagination. Of course, supporters said that the CG is more refreshing.

"SAND LAND", one of Akira Toriyama's masterpieces that was just released on August 18, was also produced entirely in 3DCG. Industry insiders said that the general trend of new "Dragon Ball" animated films in the future will probably be more CG.
