Although Gadot recently claimed that the third "Wonder Woman" movie will be co-developed with James Gunn and Peter Safran, foreign media Variety reported that this is not the case at all. Variety quoted people familiar with the matter as saying that Gunn and Safran actually have no plans to develop a new "Wonder Woman" movie. The only one that has been approved for filming is the live-action series "The Fall of Paradise", which is set in Themyscira, the home of the Amazons and the birthplace of Wonder Woman. In January, Gunn and Safran unveiled the first phase of the new DC Universe, which will focus on well-known characters such as Superman, Batman, and Supergirl. The new DC Universe will begin with Superman: Legacy, which was originally scheduled to be released on July 11, 2025, but the ongoing Hollywood strike is likely to delay the film. |
