"John Wick" director Chad Stahelski says he's been in talks with the Academy about adding a stunt category to the Oscars, and it's a possibility. "We've been meeting and having actual conversations with members of the (Movie) Academy over the last few months, and they've been incredibly positive and instructive, to be honest," the director said in an interview with Comic Book Movie. “I think for the first time we’ve made real steps toward that. I think it’s going to happen probably at the next Oscars, or at least the Oscars after that, in the next three or four years at the latest.” The series is known for its cool action stunts. Keanu revealed the most difficult stunt in the series: the horseback fight he shot in Brooklyn in the third movie. According to him, this stunt scene required horse training experts, licenses and special equipment to fix Keanu in the right position, and they also needed to work closely with the Animal Humane Society to comply with animal protection laws. |
