The battle scene of "John Wick 4" makes players excited, and its inspiration comes from a game

John Wick 4 is now in theaters, and a battle scene in it has attracted the attention of gamers, who believe it was inspired by Hotline Miami. However, the director said that the inspiration for the scene did not come from Hotline Miami, but from Hong Kong.

John Wick 4 continues the refreshing and no-nonsense fighting style of the John Wick series, with Keanu Reeves showing off his skills with various weapons. One of the battle scenes using a bird's-eye view made gamers' eyes light up, because this way of displaying the picture completely reproduced the battle perspective of the classic game Hotline Miami.

There is a battle scene in France in John Wick 4, which is shot from a God's perspective. John Wick is moving and engaging in gunfights, which is very gorgeous and shocking. The director also mentioned this scene in an interview. He said: "When you lack creativity, first restrict yourself and cuff yourself, and then think of a way, because this is the only way to do something you have never thought of before." The God's perspective is mostly staring at the floor, which makes the picture performance boring. The director thought of a game and decided to pay tribute to it, that is, Hong Kong.

In fact, Hong Kong Sweep itself is also one of the works inspired by Hotline Miami, a top-down action game launched in 2019. Players need to dodge bullets at close range and engage in exciting battles. Therefore, it is correct to say that the director was indirectly inspired by Hotline Miami.

To make this gunfight look cooler, the director asked Keanu Reeves to use a shotgun equipped with dragon breath bullets. Dragon breath bullets can emit hot pieces, which look like fire. The lines and brightness produced by shooting present a great picture from the God's perspective.

"John Wick 4" is currently doing very well at the box office. Not only did it receive a CinemaScore A rating, it also grossed $141.4 million worldwide, including $73.8 million in its first week in North America.
