Zendaya to play goddess of wisdom Athena in Odyssey

Recently, Greek media OneMan revealed the roles played by the actors in Christopher Nolan's new film "The Odyssey", except for Jon Bernthal, Robert Pattinson and Cosmo Jarvis.

The film is adapted from the epic poem written by the "blind poet" Homer in the 8th century BC. It tells the story of Odysseus' long journey home after the Trojan War. It is an epic action blockbuster based on ancient Greek mythology. The story explores the themes of heroism, loyalty, cunning and fighting against the will of God. It also includes some iconic plots and characters in ancient Greek mythology, such as Zeus, the father of the gods, Athena, the goddess of wisdom, Aeolus, the god of wind, Polyphemus, the cyclops, Poseidon, the sea siren, and the ending where Odysseus reunites with his wife Penelope.

The film "Odyssey" is currently being filmed in Mesoni, Greece, and will be released in North America in IMAX format on July 17, 2026.
