Director James Gunn (also the current co-CEO of DC Films), who is currently creating a new DCU movie universe for DC, has previously directed Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy" series of films and received good reviews. Recently, "Guardians of the Galaxy" James Gunn talked about topics related to the "Guardians of the Galaxy" series when participating in an interview show on the YouTube channel "Josh Horowitz". Gunn first confirmed that he would not be directing any more Guardians of the Galaxy movies, but that he hopes to serve as a producer on any future projects with the team. He also mentioned that he is supportive of the actors' future projects and has discussed with some of them about their possible roles in the DC Universe. For example, Dave Bautista, who played Drax the Destroyer in Guardians of the Galaxy, is there a possibility that he will play Bane? Bautista had previously expressed interest in the role. Gunn mentioned that Bautista's current career path and physical changes may make the role less likely. He also expressed his hope that Bautista would play a different role and emphasized that he hopes to work with him again. Gunn also mentioned that he had considered at least three spin-offs related to Guardians of the Galaxy at different times. One idea was to develop a spin-off around the Ravagers; another idea was to develop a spin-off around Star-Lord, which was hinted at in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3; the third idea was about Rocket Raccoon and Groot, but this story eventually became the main part of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and Gunn originally wanted to tell Rocket Raccoon's story in a separate project first. |
