"Daredevil: Rebirth" is the latest season of the "Daredevil" series of TV series created by Marvel Television and ABC for Netflix. It is scheduled to be officially broadcast in March 2025. Wilson Bethel, the actor who plays the villain "Bullseye" in the show, recently revealed at the San Francisco Fan Expo that the timeline of the story of "Daredevil: Rebirth" will be five years after the original three seasons of "Daredevil" on Netflix. “It might be different with a sitcom or something like that, but if you’re doing a show over a period of time, the characters are aging together in real time,” Bethel explained. “If the show is well-written and the writers are responding in some way to what’s happening in reality — the wrinkles in the hair and so on — then in theory the characters would move forward in some way whether the show is airing or not.” He went on to make it clear that the show would not pick up where Daredevil left off: "These characters have all gone through five years of their lives and gone through all sorts of twists and turns during that time. So whether or not those stories play out on screen, there's a little extra sense of life. I think as an actor, it gives you the opportunity to reflect your own experiences during that time, because they're getting older." |
