Anno Hideaki will guest star in the Japanese drama "Ichigo no Crow" adapted from the manga

The official website of the live-action TV drama adapted from the manga "Ichigo no Crow" by Rito Asami recently released behind-the-scenes photos. Anno Hideaki, the famous animation director of "Neon Genesis Evangelion", appeared on the set dressed as a judge.

Anno said he agreed to act because he is a close friend of the film's lead actor, Takenouchi Yutaka, who also starred in his previous films, Shin Godzilla and Shin Ultraman.

"The Crow of the Ring" will be released in Japan on January 13.

Asami Rito first began serializing the manga in Kodansha's Marning magazine in 2018 and concluded it in March 2019. The manga was then adapted into an 11-episode television series in April 2021 and aired on Fuji TV.

The story revolves around the members of the First Criminal Division of the Third Branch of the Tokyo District Court. The TV series mainly revolves around two judges with very different personalities, telling the conflicts and interesting stories caused by their different ways of doing things in the case. The original cast of the TV series will be used in the theatrical version.
