The new version of the animation of the classic monster story comic "Hell Teacher" was announced and will be broadcast in the summer of 2025

The classic monster story manga "Hell Sensei" (also known as "The Ghost Teacher Kamui"), written by Sho Makura and illustrated by Go Okano, was first serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" in 1993 (until 1999).

The cumulative sales of its single-volume books have exceeded 29 million copies, and in 1996, a 49-episode TV animation of the same name was launched on TV Asahi (later a 3-episode theatrical animation and an OVA animation were released), as well as a live-action drama adaptation of the same name that premiered in 2014.

Recently, after a hiatus of nearly 26 years, the official announced a new version of the "Hell Teacher" animation, which is scheduled to be officially broadcast in the summer of 2025.

It is understood that the new version of the animation will be produced by Studio KAI, and Ryutaro Okiayu will voice the protagonist Nueno Meisuke. At the same time, the official has also launched an audition event for voice actors for the student characters of Domorimachi Elementary School in the animation. The selected candidates (limited to elementary school students from grades one to six) will have their characters in the animation designed based on their own image.

The original work of "Hell Teacher" tells the story of Naruno Meisuke, who works at Domori-cho Elementary School. Although he looks ordinary, he actually has an extraordinary experience. He was infected by a monster when he was in elementary school. His female teacher with spiritual power sacrificed herself to seal the monster in Meisuke's left hand, becoming a veritable "ghost hand". The ghost hand is like the spirit of an exorcist, which can communicate with spirits and complete various bizarre exorcism tasks.

There have always been many supernatural rumors circulating in Domori Town. Therefore, although Meisuke was not trusted by the students at first, he established a deep relationship with the students after performing exorcism work time and time again.
