Netflix horror thriller "1899" cancelled

Netflix's horror suspense thriller series "1899" has been cancelled and will not be renewed for a second season. The series was created by the "Dark" team. The first season was launched on November 17, 2022, and it was originally planned to shoot three seasons.

Operators Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese revealed the news of the cancellation on Instagram, saying that they felt very heavy-hearted and had to tell everyone that 1899 would not be renewed.

"We had intended to complete this amazing journey with seasons two and three, just as we did with Dark. But sometimes things don’t go the way you planned. We know this decision will disappoint millions of fans. But we are deeply grateful to you for being a part of this amazing journey. We love you and will never forget."

Starring Emily Beecham, Barnard, Andreas Peterskoman, etc., 1899 tells the story of a group of European immigrants who left London on the Cerberus ship in 1899 and headed for New York to start a new life. But when they encountered another immigrant ship drifting on the high seas, the journey began to turn into a nightmare, and they faced the most bizarre and inexplicable encounters of their lives.
