"Top Gun 2" returns to theaters for a limited time from December 2 to 15

After opening on May 27 this year, Top Gun 2 will return to the big screen once again, albeit for a limited time. The Top Gun sequel will once again fly back into the danger zone, running from December 2 to December 15.

It is worth mentioning that Cameron's film "Avatar 2" will be released on December 16, which means that Paramount has extended the screening time of "Top Gun 2" by two weeks before the release of "Avatar 2". Currently, "Top Gun 2" is the highest-grossing film in the world in 2022, with nearly 1.5 billion US dollars.

“Top Gun 2 truly captures the magic of the moviegoing experience, and we wanted to give fans the opportunity to enjoy that cinematic wonder once again,” explained Chris Aronson, President of Domestic Distribution for Paramount Pictures. “It feels like the perfect time to bring Top Gun 2 back to theaters, allowing audiences everywhere to experience once again just how special this film is.”

In fact, this is not the first time that Top Gun 2 has returned to the cinema. On June 24 this year, IMAX officially announced that Top Gun 2 would return to IMAX theaters for a limited time. That was just before the release of the Marvel movie Thor 4 (July 8).

"Top Gun 2" is currently Cruise's highest-grossing film, with domestic box office exceeding $700 million, making it one of the top five highest-grossing films in North America ever.
