Classic action film "Escape from New York" confirmed to be remade by 20th Century Fox

According to foreign media reports, the classic action film "Escape from New York" has been confirmed to be remade and is being actively planned. The film will be produced by 20th Century Fox. The director has been finalized and the screenwriter is still being selected.

• "Escape from New York" is a science fiction film directed by John Carpenter and starring Ernest Borgnine, Isaac Hayes, etc. The film tells the story of the US President's plane crashing in New York, and the police find a thug who is sentenced to life imprisonment and gives him 24 hours to rescue the president.

•The remake of "Escape from New York" will be co-directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Taylor Gillette, directors of "Scream 5", and John Carpenter, director of the original version, will serve as executive producer. Stay tuned.
