Breaking 10 million! "Nosferatu" beats "Sonic 3" in single-day box office

The film "Nosferatu" directed by Robert Eggers ("The Lighthouse" and "The Witch") was released in North America on Christmas. This Gothic horror film with an all-star cast grossed 11.6 million US dollars on its first day of release, second only to "The Lion King: The Legend of Mufasa", which topped the Christmas box office with a box office of 15 million US dollars. Last weekend's box office champion "Sonic the Hedgehog 3" ranked third with a revenue of 10.7 million US dollars.

The film stars "Fourth Sister" Bill Skarsgård, Lily-Rose Depp, Nicholas Hoult, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin, William Dafoe and others. The story tells the infatuation between a ghostly young woman, Ellen Hunt (Lily-Rose Depp), and the terrifying "vampire Count" Nosferatu (Bill Skarsgård) who is obsessed with her in 19th century Germany, which caused unspeakable horror.

According to foreign media predictions, the North American box office of "Nosferatu" is expected to reach 36 million to 41 million US dollars in the first five days of its weekend.
