Hirohiko Araki reveals the secret of the birth of the JOJO villain, which is necessary to enrich the work

The famous Japanese cartoonist Hirohiko Araki recently released his new book "Hirohiko Araki's New Manga Art: How to Create Villains", in which he revealed the secrets of the birth of the villains DIO and Kira in his masterpiece "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure", saying that this was a necessary means to enrich the work.

As we all know, in the classic comic "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" that spans multiple generations of protagonists, the big villains surrounding the JOJO family are always impressive, such as DIO, Kira, etc.

Hirohiko Araki said that villains are one of the essential key factors that make comics popular. If the story does not set up various obstacles for the protagonists to overcome, it will be meaningless. The stronger the villain who is an obstacle, the more interesting the comics will be.

Although some villains are too charming and even more popular than the protagonist, the villain’s popularity is not to embellish the story, but to reflect the true emotions of human beings.
