Warner: There are 4 DC movies next year and we want to make more Harry Potter movies

At an investor earnings conference on Thursday, Warner Discovery CEO David Zaslav promised that four DC movies, "Shazam! Wrath of the Gods," "The Flash," "Blue Beetle," and "Aquaman 2," will all be released in theaters next year. In addition, he revealed that he was discussing with JK Rowling about making more "Harry Potter" movies, and pointed out that Superman movies had brought Warner a lot of profits.

David Zaslav, president of Warner Bros. Discovery, said at the Q3 quarterly earnings conference: "We should pay attention to those IPs. We haven't made a Superman movie for 13 years, and we haven't made a Harry Potter movie for 15 years. In the past 25 years, DC movies and Harry Potter movies have provided a lot of profits for Warner Bros. Pictures."

He said that if JK Rowling agreed, they would be willing to make more Harry Potter movies. At the same time, he also directly criticized streaming movies, "Instead of spending $1 billion to shorten the movie window to a streaming service, we should do a better job of launching movies in theaters. For HBO MAX, launching a 160-minute streaming movie will not retain the audience's love."
