Cameron criticizes Marvel and DC movies: characters lack maturity

Recently, director James Cameron talked about the character changes of the male and female protagonists in "Avatar: The Way of Water" in a conversation. He said that compared with the first part, 15 years have passed, the two have started a family and have children, and their thinking will be more mature. For example, they would jump from a height regardless of the consequences in the first part, but now they have to consider other things besides their own safety.

In this regard, Cameron lamented, "When I see those grand movies - yes, I'm talking about Marvel and DC - the characters in them, no matter how old they are, behave like college students. There is a family relationship between them, but in fact this relationship does not exist at all. They will never give up some things because they have children. Where are the things that really make us settle down and give us strength, love and goals? These characters can't experience it. I don't think the movie is shot like this."
