Aniplex announced that Gen Urobuchi's masterpiece "Wings of Steel" will be made into an animated film. The release date has not yet been determined. At the same time, a preview trailer and poster were released. Let's take a sneak peek.

"Wings of Steel" is a fantasy novel/light novel written by Japanese writer Gen Urobuchi. It depicts a fictional world with a background similar to the eve of World War II. A boy becomes a fighter pilot for his dream of flying, but is unable to fly due to the heavy burden of killing. Although he finally finds the joy of flying as a test pilot after retiring, the outbreak of war forces him back to the battlefield. Finally, at the last moment before the end of the war, he returns to follow his dream, chasing the dragon, and disappears into the sky forever.

•The animated film "Wings of Steel" will be produced by A-1 Pictures, directed by Daizen Komatsuda, written by Yukie Sugawara and Seiji Mizushima, character design by Keigo Sasaki, and music by Yuki Kajiura. Stay tuned.
