James Bond producers are looking for 007 for at least the next decade. So for now, the new 007 has not been chosen, at least not yet. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson explained what kind of character they'd like the next James Bond to play. "We're not just casting someone for one movie," Broccoli said. "We're casting actors who we hope will be around for at least 10 years. It's a big decision, and we're far from making that decision." She added: "When we get to a stage, like we are now, we have to think about the trajectory of the Bond films and the storylines and where we want to take them. So, that's the main focus at the beginning. Once we have a goal, then we start thinking about casting." Ever since Daniel Craig stopped playing 007 in "No Time to Die", fans have been speculating who will take over the role of 007. Many fans hope it will be Tom Hardy, Idris Elba, or even Tom Hiddleston. Broccoli went on to explain why casting for 007 was a huge decision. "Any actor has to think about how this is going to change their life. When we first approached Daniel he was of course very reluctant, like I said, his life changed, but he hasn't changed. He has been the same person from the beginning as he is now, a really amazing person." |
