"Minions Big Eyes Despicable Me Prequel" is scheduled to be released in China on August 19

Universal Pictures officially announced that "Minions: Despicable Me Begins" has been scheduled to be released in mainland China and will be officially released on August 19.

"Minions: Despicable Me Prequel" is directed by Kyle Balda and Brad Abelson, the directors of "Despicable Me 3". The film will tell the origin story of the "evil" Gru. Steve Carell will continue to voice Gru, and Julie Andrews and Russell Brand will also return. Kung Fu superstar Michelle Yeoh will also join the voice of Master Zhou, a kung fu acupuncturist . Taraji P. Henson will voice the leader of the six villains, and the villain group also includes Jean-Claude Van Damme, Lucy Lawless, Dolph Lundgren, Danny Trejo and others. Wang Jiaer and Deng Ziqi will also sing the movie soundtrack. The film was released in North America on July 1.
