Japanese manga artist Ryo Namimine, who drew "Hatsuko Zombie", announced on Twitter today (July 27) that his latest comic series "Boy's Abyss" will be adapted into a live-action series. The live-action series will be supervised by emerging director Kato Misato (Misato Kato), and the protagonist Kurose Rei will be played by Japanese actor Araki Hiwa. The manga "Shonen no Fukuroku" was first serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" in 2020, and won the 11th place in the "2021 Annual Manga Award", with a cumulative circulation of over 1 million copies. The story tells the story of the protagonist, Rei Kurose, a sophomore student, who feels trapped in the countryside where she was born, and is oppressed by various relationships. She meets her favorite idol Aoe Nagi, and gradually moves towards suicide for love. |
