Official response to Kadokawa's lawsuit against fans of "Undead King" for leaking spoilers in texts, no restrictions on fan activities

On October 30, Kadokawa Publishing announced that it had sued and arrested several website operators who were involved in illegal text spoilers for the "Undead King 3" animation, which caused an uproar. Today, on November 12, the "Undead King" production committee officially responded with a somewhat ambiguous attitude, stating that "there will be no restrictions on fan activities."

In Japan, making video commentaries will definitely be punished by law, but many sites that produce text spoilers are still operating on the edge. The first lawsuit set by Kadokawa Publishing has put other websites operating on the edge in the future.

Of course, Kadokawa Publishing's reason for the lawsuit is that the website's advertising and other revenues are derived from infringement, violating copyright law, but the response from the "Undead King" animation production committee seems ambiguous.

·In response, it said, "We apologize for scaring fans by bringing legal action to the fan website, but we will not restrict fans' activities in the future. It is human nature to discuss world view, character design and other contents when people like works. In the future, we hope that fans can discuss freely and happily about anything."
