According to foreign media reports, the film version of "Salem," adapted from Stephen King's vampire horror novel, has been rescheduled to be released in North America on April 21, 2023. The film was originally scheduled to be released on September 9 this year. The post-production progress was affected by the new crown epidemic, and reshoots were carried out a month and a half ago. The film version of "Salem" will be written and directed by Gary Dauberman ("It" and "Annabelle"), with James Wan and others serving as producers. Dauberman will also serve as the screenwriter, and Lewis Pullman, who starred in "Top Gun: Maverick", will lead the starring role. Stay tuned. The novel tells the story of a writer who returns to his hometown and wants to write about an abandoned house in his work. But he finds that the house has been bought by a mysterious European man, and the people in the town are slowly turning into vampires... Can a small group of writers save the town from this "man"? This is the first time that "Salem" has been made into a movie. It was released as a mini-series in 1979 and has since had sequels. |
