Ryan Reynolds reveals Marvel wants Channing Tatum to play Gambit more often

There are several cameo characters in the Deadpool vs. Wolverine movie, including Gambit, played by Channing Tatum.

The film Gambit, which was originally to be starred by Channing Tatum, was put on hold due to the director's withdrawal and Disney's acquisition of 21st Century Fox in 2019. However, Channing Tatum, who made a surprise appearance in Deadpool vs. Wolverine, finally fulfilled his dream of playing Gambit on the big screen.

Recently, Ryan Reynolds revealed in an interview with the foreign media "Entertainment" that Marvel hopes Channing Tatum can have more opportunities to play the King of Gambit.

Reynolds said: "To be honest, I don't know what Marvel's financial department is doing behind the scenes, but I know they really want him to play the role. It's a bit like the situation I've been through. Once you prove that the role works, that's all they really need. Sometimes they just need to see it work."

While Marvel Studios has yet to officially announce Gambit's standalone film or his inclusion in an upcoming anthology film, we may see some form of confirmation soon.
