Predator: Prey takes inspiration from Sony's God of War 4

Dan Trachtenberg, director of Predator: Prey, revealed that the prequel to Predator he directed drew some inspiration from Sony's game God of War 4. In the first trailer released, two weapons similar to God of War 4 can be seen - a shield and a battle axe.

Speaking to ComicBook, he said: "I said a while ago that I was inspired by the recent God of War game, and now both of those things are in the trailer.

One is his shield, which makes a brief appearance. The other one is not used by the Predator, but by our heroine Naru, who wields her axe. She invented this cool thing for the axe, which is a mechanic from that video game (God of War 4). I think this shield is super cool. Even though these two things are the same, they function a little differently.”

The Predator: Prey movie has been in development for years, and director Dan Trachtenberg promises that it will be a very intense film.

"It's a very brutal, intense movie, very R-rated."
