After 20 days of release, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 has grossed 149 million U.S. dollars in North America, surpassing Sonic the Hedgehog's 148 million, becoming the highest-grossing game-adapted movie in North American film history. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 has been confirmed to be introduced to mainland China, with a release date to be determined.
