The star of the classic American TV series "24" expressed his willingness to make a sequel

In a recent interview with GQ magazine, American actor Kiefer Sutherland expressed his willingness to play his iconic role again, the protagonist Jack Bauer in the American TV series "24".

"I miss it. It was an incredible experience," Kiefer Sutherland said of the long-running Fox drama. "I know better than to give a definitive answer on whether or not you're going to do something. I loved playing this character. I believe the story is not finished. If there's something that's going to be written that makes sense to me and I think I'll contribute to the team, then I'm in favor of it, even if my involvement is limited."

Sutherland's answer was not made lightly. As recently as September 2021, Fox announced that it was in "active creative discussions" to revive the series. The original series ran for nine seasons and was also expanded into a movie.

However, any revival of an IP may be more vulnerable to criticism or resistance. The first episode premiered on November 6, 2001, just weeks after the 9/11 attacks. And some elements of the show may be criticized as outdated for modern audiences.
