"The Batman" will be available on HBO Max streaming on April 18, and will then be broadcast on the traditional HBO channel on April 23. This means that "The Batman" maintains the tradition of Warner Bros. movies being released in theaters exactly 45 days before being released on HBO Max. "The Batman" grossed $359 million in the United States and $735 million worldwide. There is currently no confirmed sequel to "The Batman", but two TV series set in the same universe are currently being developed: one is "The Penguin" starring Colin Farrell, and the other is "Gotham City Police Department", which tells a story based on the Arkham "haunted house" style. Still, the cast and crew have shared that they want a proper sequel to the film. Pattinson himself wants to see The Court of Owls, while director Matt Reeves wants to bring Freeze into his dark and gritty Batman universe. |
