Japanese readers voted for the most successful comic-adapted animation "One Piece"

Weekly Shonen Jump is probably the most successful manga magazine in Japan. Over the years, a large number of classic manga characters have been born in this magazine, and various voting rankings and competitions are naturally inevitable. In a recent vote, readers expressed their opinions on the most successful manga-adapted animation in their minds.

There are naturally quite a few animations adapted from Japanese comics, but adaptation is adaptation after all, and sometimes it is difficult to maintain the image of the comics in the minds of readers, so the success of comic-adapted animations varies.

A total of 2,270 people participated in the vote, which was initiated by Japan's Goo Ranking last fall. The final results were announced this week. The top 25 rankings are as follows.

24. Black Clover – 11 votes

24. Food Wars: Shokugeki no Soma – 11 votes

22. College Odd Face Group – 14 votes

22. Death Note – 14 votes

21. Hikaru no Go – 15 votes

20. To Love-Ru – 16 votes

19. The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. – 17 votes

18. My Hero Academia – 18 votes

17. The Prince of Tennis – 23 votes

15. Captain Tsubasa – 24 votes

15. Slam Dunk – 24 votes

13. Naruto – 25 votes

13. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure – 25 votes

12. Yu Yu Hakusho – 26 votes

11. Assassination Classroom – 27 votes

4. Haikyuu!! — 130 votes

3. Gintama – 150 votes

2. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – 284 votes

1. One Piece – 1,025 votes

We can see that some old comics are ranked quite high, such as "City Hunter" and "Ulong Police Station", which are still highly regarded by Japanese comic fans. It is not surprising that "One Piece" ranks first, but the difference in votes is too big.
